NEMA 2 Rated Gasket Cover Kits Mounting

NOTE: When performing this procedure, you must follow instructions in JYT1078000, FlexSeT™ Switchboards Instruction Bulletin, Joining Shipping Sections—Indoor Switchboards.

NOTE: Once the sections are joined, verify the gasket on the roof is compressed (Figure 3). Torque the 5/16 in. hardware to 140–160 lb-in. (12–13 N•m).

Re-Installing Back Covers

To re-assemble the back covers:

  1. Insert rear covers at an angle to avoid interference with flange at the roof (Figure 4).

  2. Loosely install the four 1/4-20 cover screws. Do not tighten.

  3. Ensure the rear cover is oriented with the gasket in the top flange.

  4. Once both covers are in place, fully tighten all screws.

Re-Installing Top Covers

To re-assemble the top covers:

When re-installing top covers, re-use the eight sets of rubber coated washers and screws previously removed.

NOTE: This instruction also applies for screws used for Service Entrance Sections (FLEXCANSERVICE).
