Key-Value (KV) Storage Service

The KV Storage service is a versatile key-value storage solution designed to support the diverse needs of diverse teams. This service is ideal for storing configurations, small customizations, and other integration requirements that do not necessitate a dedicated service or Software Development Kit (SDK).

KV Storage allows for the storage of any type of data or files, depending on the implementation. This flexibility ensures that your specific needs are met efficiently.

Most of the data stored in KV Storage consists of configuration and workflow metadata, though data related to customizations may also be stored. There are no restrictions on data types or attachments. The specific customer data that is stored is determined by the overall implementation and the Solution Architect.

Data and files stored in KV Storage are protected by role-based access control levels (ACL). Access permissions can be set to Read, Write, or Deny, and can be applied at both the folder and individual key levels. Access levels are managed based on user roles, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access or modify the data. Values can be encrypted upon storage inclusion. This enhances the security and integrity of your data.

Any changes to the ACL configuration require a thorough review by the Schneider Electric ArcFM R&D Infrastructure team. This process ensures that all modifications are carefully evaluated and approved, maintaining the highest standards of data security and compliance.
