Tenancy Service

The Tenancy Service is essential for Schneider Electric to manage services for numerous organizations, ensuring customer isolation through the use of tenants. During the initial onboarding of a customer, an Auth0 account is created, and a tenant is established in the tenancy service. Refer to the ArcFM XI Tenants topic for more information.

The Tenancy Service provides two key components:

  • Login Process Initiation: Before a user is authenticated, ArcFM XI series applications need to direct users to the correct identity providers that are configured for your organization and are appropriate for the specific application they are using. The Tenancy Service offers an unauthenticated endpoint that returns sufficient information to initiate the login process.

  • Service Address Registry: Due to the multi-tenant nature of some services, plus the diverse geographic locations of most organizations, the Tenancy Service maintains a registry of service addresses. This enables us to route different customer traffic to various instances of a given service.
