Asset Calculation, Classes, and Algorithms
Calculations from asset data feed in to scenarios that help predict when to replace or repair an asset. These calculations are based on factors that are set on the asset categories.
When you add new assets to the workspace, the Asset Calculation tab helps by running metrics and statistics to make sure all the KPIs are kept up to date. You can add assets here, then trigger and see the status of calculations for the workspace.
Asset categories and asset classes help users keep track of large groups of similar items. The class name is a more generic group that describes the categories under it. One example is the asset class of AssetTypePole, which has categories under it called lv_pole_concrete, lv_pole_steel, lv_pole_wood, and lv_pole_other. You can add attributes to classes in a similar way to categories when it comes to layout, calculation workflow, and dismissed alarms. The Asset classes tab shows the full list of classes, with a search option, and can be clicked to show the attribute details. Here is an example of the list.

Three algorithms are added to the product by default. Others can be added from the Algorithms tab to meet business needs.
