Configure for 64-Machine for 32-Bit Processes
IIS 7 Users
IIS 7 users can use Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to enable 32-bit process on a 64-bit machine.
- Open IIS Services Manager.
- Under the machine name, select Application Pool.
- Select the Responder AppPool.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Set the Enable 32-Bit Applications to True.
- Click OK.
If you are using a 64-bit machine, it must be configured to use Responder's 32-bit processes. Follow the steps below to configure.
Open a command prompt.
Type the following command to enable the 32-bit mode:
cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1
Type the following command to install the 32-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 as well as the map scripts at the IIS root and below.
Ensure that the status for APS.NET version 2.0.50727 (32-bit) is set to allowed in the web service extension list on the IIS Manager.
