HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION OR ARC FLASH
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

Cleaning
Prior to commissioning, dust or debris that might have entered the equipment must be removed in order to guarantee the creepage and clearance distances. In particular, check the filters, ventilation grates, busbars and their supports and the electrical connections.
The space around the equipment must also be cleared of accumulation of dust or fine particles.
-
Use a vacuum cleaner for this cleaning.
-
Never clean using compressed air to avoid the displacement of dirt to other surfaces.
-
Use dry cloths.
Checks
Before powering up the capacitor bank, do the below checks:
-
Check that there are no foreign bodies and tools left in the equipment.
-
Check the integrity of the protection of power cables above and inside the installation.
-
Check the integrity of the protective earth conductor and its connection.
-
Check the tightening torques.
-
Check the installation of the current transformer: positioning on phase 1, mechanical fastening and electrical connections.
-
Check the configuration of the communication network: polarization resistor, terminating resistor.
-
Check that the network voltage matches the equipment voltage rating.

Checks During Operation
Before powering up the capacitor bank, do the below checks:
-
Prior to any operation, you must verify that there is no voltage.
NOTE: The controller cannot be used to verify the absence of voltage. -
Check the unwanted commands triggered by the controller.
-
If operating on full load, check that the switched stepping functions correctly.
-
After a few hours of operation, measure the temperature change in the premises.
