Filters

The system administrator uses the Filters tab to assign roles to filters. A filter will appear if the user has one of the roles enabled for that filter. For example, The AllSessionsFilter has been enabled for the Session Approval Officer role. If user jsmith is assigned the Session Approval Officer role, she will see the AllSessionsFilter in her Session Manager user interface.

Add a new filter to the table and select the roles to which it will be available.

Filters that are installed in the registry category but do not appear in the filters table will act as if all the roles are enabled and will appear in Session Manager or Workflow Manager. To limit access to a filter, it must be in the filters table.

NOTE:

If you have licensed Designer and installed Workflow Manager, additional filters will be visible.

NOTE:

You may not create new filters without customizing the code. For more information see the ArcFM Solution Resource Center.

Session Manager and Workflow Manager have several filters installed with the default workflows:

Session Manager Filters

UserStatusSessionsFilter

Provides a filter in which the user designates the criteria. The user can select a Current Owner and Current Status. The filter will return a list of sessions based on the selected criteria.

AllSessionsFilter

Provides the filter for the All Sessions button. All Sessions, regardless of current owner or status, will be displayed.

UserSessionsFilter

Provides the filter for the My Sessions button. This filter shows only the sessions that have a current owner name that matches the login user name. For example, if jsmith is logged in to Session Manager and clicks the My Sessions button, the user will see only sessions for which jsmith is the current owner.

Workflow Manager Filters

UserWorkRequests

Provides the filter for the My Work button in Workflow Manager. This filter shows only the work requests that have a current owner name that matches the login user name. Work requests that have designs with a current owner name matching the login user name are also listed. For example, if mjones is logged in to Workflow Manager and clicks My Work, the user will see only work requests for which mjones is the current owner and work requests that have designs for which mjones is the current owner.

UserStatusWorkRequests

Provides a filter for the User/Status Work button. The user designates the criteria for the filter. The user can choose to search for work requests or designs and select an Owner and Status. The filter will return a list of work requests and/or designs based on the selected criteria.

AllWorkRequests

Provides the filter for the All Work button. All work requests and their associated designs, regardless of current owner or status will be displayed.

CompletedWorkRequests

Provides the filter for the Completed Work button. Shows all work requests with a status of Complete and their related designs. Only Administrators may view completed work requests.
