Design Summary Filtering and Selection Options

To access the selection filters, click the gear button in the top right of the Design Summary dialog. The window expands to show the General list and the CU Search Options list that allow for further search filtering.

The first setting listed is Auto Expand Search Results. When this setting is checked, the search results in Design Summary automatically expand the WLs where search results were found.

Design Summary filtering and selection options in Design Summary are listed and described below.

Search CU Code:

  • The Search CU Code option searches on the CU Code field and offers more control over how you want the search to behave.

  • This search functionality uses a “starts with” search and provides results that match your search criteria.

Search CU Description:

  • The Search CU Description option searches on the Description field of a CU.

  • This search looks for anything that contains your search criteria.

  • This field is not visible in the Design Summary dialog. Despite this field not being visible in the dialog, it is still providing search results based on what is found in the field matching your search criteria.

Search CU Name:

  • The Search CU Name option provides search results matching the Compatible Unit field.

  • This search functionality uses a “starts with” search and provides results that match your search criteria.

  • This field is displayed as “Compatible Unit” in the results section for compatible units.

Join multiple search terms with AND:

  • This search brings results that match both (or all) search words strung together with AND in the search criteria.

  • When not using AND in your search criteria, the search word string results are based off either/or search criteria.

Show only search hits:

  • This search filters the Design Summary to remove CUs that do not match the search criteria and show only the search hits results.
