Access Event Logging

You can send event logs to Schneider Electric Support to help troubleshoot problems. Event logging is always enabled. To access event logs on the different Windows operating systems, refer to the following instructions.

  • For Windows 7:
    1. Click Start and type Event Viewer in the search bar. Click Event Viewer in the list.
    2. In the Event Viewer, expand Application and Services Logs in the tree on the left.
    3. Select Miner from the list.
    4. Click Action > Save All Events As and select a location to store the file.
    5. Provide that file to Schneider Electric Support.
  • For Windows 2000 or XP:
    1. On a Windows 2000 or XP machine, click Start > Settings > Control Panel > AdministrativeTools > Event Viewer.
    2. In the Event Viewer, select Application Log under the Event Viewer (Local) tree.
    3. Click Action > Save Log File As and save this file to your local machine.
    4. Zip this file and go to the Schneider Electric Support website for additional information.
  • For Windows NT:
    1. On a Windows NT machine, click Start > Programs > Administrative Tools (Common) > Event Viewer. Event log files are also stored at C:\WINNT\system32\config\AppEvent.Evt.
    2. In the Event Viewer, select the Log menu and then select the Application option.
    3. Go to Log\Save As and save this file to your local machine.
    4. Zip this file and go to the Schneider Electric Support website for additional information.
