Publish a Map Service with Fiber Data

The following sections guide you through publishing a map service, which is the process of taking a stylized map in ArcMap and making it available on a web browser.

TIP: Think about the look and feel of the map that most benefits Wavepoint users. After all, the choices you make regarding symbology, labeling, and draw scales are seen and used every day. With a new implementation, consider having a feedback forum for your users to offer ideas to make the map easier to use. With their feedback, you can re-publish the map service to improve their efficiency.

Execute the steps in the following sections for each unique map service you want to publish. If you have an existing map service that needs to be updated, ensure you select ‘Overwrite an existing service’ in step 8 of Publish the Map Service.
