Global Filters

After the data is configured to feed into the Asset Management System application, an administrator configures the assets into categories. These facets and hierarchies help organize high numbers of assets into logical resource groups. As you navigate through the tabs at the top of the application window, the left side global filters column helps narrow down the asset list to find what you are looking for.

Here are some examples of the sections you can configure.

• Add filter — search for a recently used filter, select a configured field from the menu, or work with saved filters.

  

• Facet — a configurable tree structure that lets you group assets by a specific characteristic.

  

• Hierarchy — a configurable tree structure that lets you see assets based on its location, such as product > region1> subregion1> location1 >station1.

  
  NOTE: The cable icon means there is a single line diagram attached to the asset.

• Enable the risk index and include or exclude assets with a specific value or range of values.
