Install the IP52 Kit on the Modular Battery Cabinet

NOTE: The IP52 kit can only be installed on an adjacent modular battery cabinet.
NOTE: This procedure describes installing the IP52 kit after the modular cabinet has been interconnected with the UPS and after power cabling and signal cabling are completed. Rear access is required to install the IP52 kit on the modular battery cabinet.
  1. Follow the modular battery cabinet installation manual to install the modular battery cabinet.
  2. Remove the front panel, the top cover and the left side panel (only on the left-most modular battery cabinet) from the modular battery cabinet.
  3. Mount the flat gaskets on the side panel as close to the bottom inside edge and at the two top inside edges as possible for optimal sealing.

  4. Reinstall the side panel.
  5. Reinstall the top cover:
    1. Tilt the top cover and slide it onto the modular battery cabinet from the rear. Tabs in the rear of the top cover must connect to the slots in the rear of the modular battery cabinet.
    2. Push the top cover down in the front.

  6. Remove the gland plates (A) and the brush plates (B) from the rear of the modular battery cabinet.

  7. Reinstall the two brush plates reusing the four M6 screws. Save the gland plates for later installation.
  8. Remove the eight screws from the conduit box and discard.
  9. Install the six provided M6 flat head screws on the conduit box and install the shown part with two provided M6 flat head screws.

  10. Assemble the two shown parts with the provided M6 flat head screws and nylon washers.
  11. Install the shown assembly on the rear of the modular battery cabinet:
    1. Remove the two M6 screws from the modular battery cabinet and discard them.
    2. Install the assembly with the two provided M6x12 flat head screws and nylon washers in the top and the two provided M6x16 torx screws with washer in the bottom.

  12. Install the gland plates from step 6 with the provided M6 screws.

  13. Install the shown part reusing the M6 screws from the top cover.

  14. Install the shown part with the four provided M6 flat head screws and nylon washers.

  15. Remove the top gasket from the front panel.

  16. Mount the provided profile gasket as shown on the front panel as close to the edges of the front panel frame as possible. Start from the bottom centre and mount the profile gasket in one piece for optimal sealing.

  17. Install the transparent plastic part in the bottom of the front panel.

  18. Reinstall the front panel:
    1. Insert the two tabs in the bottom of the front panel in the modular battery cabinet at a tilted angle.
    2. Reconnect the front panel strap to the modular battery cabinet.
    3. Close the front panel and lock with the two locking knobs.
