Install the Backfeed Kit GVXOPT001

Perform a total power off of the UPS before installing the backfeed kit. The UPS must
be completely isolated and no power sources must be connected to the UPS.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

- Open the left inner door of the I/O cabinet.
- Remove the fan assembly:
- Remove the screws from the fan assembly and lift it out of the I/O cabinet.
- Disconnect the fan cables (FAN 7 X-9007 and FAN 8 X-9008) from the fans and the LED cables (LAMP BF2 (HBF2+ and HBF2-)) from the LED in the fan assembly. Note the connections.
- Discard the breaker cover plate.
- Remove the three busbars and the insulator part from the I/O cabinet.
- Remove the lexan plate from the I/O cabinet.
- Install the backfeed breaker BF2 on the studs with the four provided nuts in the I/O cabinet.
- Connect the busbars to the backfeed breaker BF2 terminals. Reuse the 24 screws removed earlier.
- Install the signal cables in the backfeed breaker:
- Remove the front cover from the backfeed breaker.
- Remove the cable ties from the rolled-up signal cables 0W7856 (BF2 AUX, 1 & 2) and 0W13005 (BF2 COIL, V1 & V3) in the side of the I/O cabinet.
- Connect 0W7856 (BF2 AUX, 1 & 2) to the shunt trip in the backfeed breaker.
- Connect 0W13005 (BF2 COIL, V1 & V3) to AUX switch in the backfeed breaker.
- Reinstall the front cover on the backfeed breaker.
- Reinstall the fan assembly:
- Reconnect the fan cables (FAN 7 X-9007 and FAN 8 X-9008) to the fans and the LED cables (LAMP BF2 (HBF2+ and HBF2-)) to the LED in the fan assembly.
- Reinstall the fan assembly on the I/O cabinet.
- Attach the provided labels 885-95862 and 885-96196 on the fan assembly.
- Close the left inner door of the I/O cabinet.
