Install the Breaker Kit

NOTE: Install the Lithium-ion battery control breaker kit in the UPS before the power cables are installed. Follow the UPS installation manual to prepare for installation.
  1. Remove the two inner doors. Save all parts for reinstallation:
    1. Remove the two screws and the two L-shaped parts. Remove the 13 screws.

    2. Open the two inner doors. Remove the plate and discard.

    3. Unplug the signal cable connectors.
    4. Remove the nut and brackets in both sides.

    5. Lift the inner doors upwards to remove them.

  2. Install the sheet metal part 870-67027 with the four provided M4 nuts in the UPS.

  3. Install the battery control breakers:
    1. Click the AUX switch onto the left side of the battery control breakers.
    2. Click the two battery control breakers onto the DIN rail on the sheet metal part 870-67027.

  4. Connect the power cables:
    1. Connect the provided power cable 0W450044 to the two battery control breakers (bottom position). Connect input to the left battery control breaker and output to the right battery control breaker. Connect the other end of the power cable 0W450044 to the ports in the side of the cabinet.
    2. Connect the power cables (not provided) to the battery control breakers (top position), route out through the top of the UPS, and connect to the Lithium-ion battery cabinet. Follow the UPS installation manual to create top cable entry in the UPS. Follow the installation instructions for the Lithium-ion battery cabinet to connect the power cables in the Lithium-ion battery cabinet.

    NOTE: Minimum power cable size is 2.5 mm2.
  5. Optional: Connect the signal cables from the AUX switches to an external switchgear/breaker monitoring system, if relevant/present. The signal cables from the AUX switches cannot be connected to the UPS. 43 and 44 are NO (normally open), 31 and 32 are NC (normally closed). The signal connection is considered non-SELV. See the UPS installation manual for making holes in the signal cable gland plate and for recommended signal cable sizes.

  6. Install the sheet metal cover TME36452 with the four provided M4 screws on the assembly. The screws are installed on the rear of the bracket.

  7. Continue to the UPS installation manual to install the power cables, or reinstall the two inner doors:
    1. Lift the inner doors onto the hinges.
    2. Reinstall the nut and brackets in both sides.
    3. Reconnect the signal cable connectors.
    4. Close the inner doors and reinstall the 13 screws.
    5. Reinstall the L-shaped part in both sides with the two screws.

  8. Follow the UPS installation manual to complete the rest of the installation of the UPS.
