Remove the UPS from the Pallet

  1. Move the UPS cabinet as close as possible to the final location with a pallet truck or a forklift before unpacking.
  2. Remove the packaging (cardboard, plastic, and foam corners).
  3. Remove the ramp.
  4. Remove the front panel.
  5. Remove the front transportation bracket.
  6. Attach the ramp to the pallet and remove the rear transportation bracket.
  7. For the UPS with internal batteries up to 2 battery strings: Reinstall the rear transportation bracket in a higher position on the UPS. The UPS is top heavy and will tilt without this extra support.

  8. Roll the UPS carefully down the ramp.
    CAUTION
    Hazard of personal injury
    • Make a clear path in front of the ramp.
    • Do not stand in front of the ramp while rolling the UPS down the ramp.
    Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment damage.
  9. For the UPS with internal batteries up to 2 battery strings: Reinstall the front transportation bracket on the UPS.
    CAUTION
    Tip hazard
    Do not remove the front and rear transportation brackets from the UPS with internal batteries up to 2 battery strings until it is time to anchor the UPS to the floor.
    Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment damage.
  10. Reinstall the front panel on the UPS and roll the UPS to the final location.
  11. Cover the UPS with the packaging bags until time of installation. Store manuals and documentation in the documentation compartment in the UPS front panel.
