Electrical Low Voltage Connections

The electrical hookup varies from unit to unit; it may be from a panelboard (see Panelboard (Optional)) or directly in the switchgear. Normally there are three circuits:

• Lights and fan with thermostat. Thermostat is set at 80°F (27°C).

• Receptacles (one at each end).

• Heater with thermostat (optional). Heater is set at 70°F (21°C).

Set the environmental controls (thermostat, humidistat, or others.) to mitigate condensation (including times when the equipment is lightly loaded, such as storage, downstream loads deenergized). Consult the engineer of record for the appropriate environmental control settings.

Refer to the wiring diagrams furnished with the unit for the locations of the circuit breakers and the electrical connections of the shipping sections.
