The Ping Requests Tab

Whether you initiate the ping request from ArcMap or Responder Explorer, the application creates a record of the request in the Ping Requests Tab.

Pinged Meter Statuses

Pinged meters have five possible statuses:

  • In Queue: The AMI Outbound Processor has not sent the request yet.

  • In Process: The request was sent to the vendor interface and is waiting for a response.

  • Timed Out: The request is stalled and could not be sent, likely due to a break in connection.

  • Failed: The meter was unreachable indicating power down.

  • Success: The meter responded successfully indicating power up.
