Map

Wavepoint provides intuitive navigation and querying tools in a lightweight basemap.

• The main toolbar is visible at all times:

  

  • : The Layers drop-down allows you to toggle the map layers on and off.

  • : The Center Map button centers the basemap around the feature currently selected.

  • : The Move to Current Location button uses the GPS coordinates at your current, physical location to reposition the map, which allows you to view network elements near you.

  • : The Measure Tool button provides Distance and Location measuring tools.

  • : The Select Basemap button allows you to choose the basemap displayed under your fiber feature classes.

  • : The Toggle Legend button toggles the legend on and off in the left pane.

• Use the stacked plus/minus  buttons on the left side of the map to zoom in and out, or use your mouse scroll wheel.

• At any time, click a fiber feature to view its attributes.

  • The first click displays the fiber feature name and its high-level attributes. Click the name of the feature to open detailed connection information and graphical views.

    IMPORTANT: When clicking point features such as splice points or patch locations, the Selection pane displays all fiber features that come together at that point.

    • Use the Previous and Next arrows to scroll through nearby or connected features.

      

    • Additionally, the List All  button displays a concise list of all the selected features.

      The selected features are listed alphabetically.

      TIP: If your map selection results in 4 or more selected items, then clicking the List All button is recommended. It brings you to your desired selection faster than clicking the Next arrow repeatedly.
