Install the IP42 Kit on a 800 mm Wide UPS

WARNING
TIPPING hazard
Shut down the UPS system completely before installing the kit.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.
  1. Install the IP42 top assembly:
    1. Remove the existing fan plates. Save the screws for reuse and discard the fan plates. Install the new fan plates with the reused screws.

      10-60 kVA UPS

      60-80 kVA UPS

    2. Install the two water guard sheets on the UPS with the four provided M8 screws.
    3. Install the provided rods on the UPS.
    4. Install the top cover on the UPS with the four provided M8 screws.
  2. Install the IP42 front assembly:
    1. Open the front door of the UPS.
    2. Remove the cover plate and the air filter from the front door. Discard the old air filter and save the screws for reuse.

    3. Install the new air filter with the reused screws and reinstall the cover plate on the front door.
  3. Install the IP42 bottom assembly:
    1. Remove the front and rear kick plates. Save all parts for reinstallation.
    2. Remove the indicated covers. Save all parts for reinstallation.

    3. Remove all cables from all the cable openings in the bottom of the UPS.
    4. Remove the three front screws from the bottom plate and save the screws for reuse. Loosen the three rear screws. Pull the bottom air filter out from towards front. Discard the old bottom air filter.

    5. Install the new bottom air filter with the reused screws.
    6. Reconnect the cables and reinstall the kick plates.
