Use protective gloves and safety shoes when handling the
power module.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment damage.

- Move the power module box on its pallet as close as possible to the final installation location using a forklift/pallet truck. Do not unpack the power module until ready to install it in the UPS.
- Remove the straps, the top cover, the top plate, and the outer cardboard square of the power module box.
- Remove the wrapping from the power module.
- Push the power module onto an appropriate lifting cart
that can support the weight of the power module and can lift the power
module to the required height. A scissor lifting cart is recommended
and shown in this procedure. See Specifications for Recommended Scissor Lifting Cart.
WARNING
Heavy loadPower modules are heavy (54 kg). Use appropriate lifting equipment and trained personnel to lift and handle the power module. It is recommended to use a scissor lifting cart or similar appropriate lifting equipment as shown in this procedure. If no lifting equipment is available, three persons are required to lift and handle the power module.Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.WARNING
Hazard of injuryNever stack the power modules on top of each other.Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage. - Follow the UPS installation manual to install the power module in a new UPS OR follow the UPS operation manual to install the power module in a running UPS (Live Swap).
- Use the scissor lifting cart to lift the power module to the correct height and push the power module into the power module slot.
