Rack View

The Wavepoint rack view provides a dynamic visualization of the fiber facilities located at a patch location.

Rack Height

In Fiber Manager , racks are managed in a non-spatial object table (called F_Rack in the sample data). This object table has a field to store the number of slots in the rack. This field is called SlotRows in the sample data. The name is up to your company, but the important thing is that it is the field assigned the FIBERNUMBERGRIDROWS field model name.

In the ArcFM Attribute Editor, edit this field to have the appropriate number of slots.

For example, 10 slots would appear like the following image:

While 40 slots would appear like the following image:

Rack Width

The rack width is a fixed width using the standard of 23 inches in Wavepoint , and child fiber facilities adjust to it.

For example, in the following image a router is configured to have 12 possible port locations (only 4 are currently occupied):

Then, the exact same router is changed to have 24 possible port locations. Notice, the rack does not widen to accommodate the additional ports; instead, the ports are proportionally narrowed to fit within the rack width:

In short, you do not need to configure the rack width, and child facilities adjust to the fixed width.
