Isolate a Single UPS in the Parallel System

Use this procedure to shut down one UPS in a running parallel system.

NOTE: Before initiating this procedure, ensure that the remaining UPSs can supply the load.

NOTE: Only operate a breaker when the associated breaker indicator lamp is illuminated.

On this UPS, tap Control > Guided sequences > Shut down a UPS in a parallel system , and follow the steps which appear on the display.
Generic shutdown procedure:

NOTE: The following are generic shutdown procedures. Always follow the steps of the Guided sequences which are specific to your system.
1. On this UPS, select Control > Inverter > Inverter off or press the inverter OFF button (hold for five seconds) on the system level controller section.
2. Open the unit output breaker UOB for this UPS.
3. Open the static switch input breaker SSIB (if present) for this UPS.
4. Open the battery breaker(s) for this UPS.
5. Open the unit input breaker UIB for this UPS.
