Cables

When you locate or select a cable, Wavepoint displays two tabs in the left pane: Details and Fibers.

The Details tab gives you detailed information about the cable, that includes its start and end points and high-level attributes. You can see the start and end points labeled on the map, and you can also click the start and end points on the Details tab to view more information about them.

The Fibers tab gives you detailed information about the strands that belong to the cable, circuit information, and availability status. Wavepoint XI also shows multiple circuits for one fiber. To locate a particular strand, either scroll through the list or use the Find tool in your web browser. If the cable uses a buffer tube > strand arrangement, the tab displays the buffer tube color first followed by the fiber strand color:
