Map

Wavepoint provides intuitive navigation and querying tools in a lightweight basemap. Zoom in and out with the stacked plus/minus buttons, or mouse scroll, on the left side of the map.

The main toolbar is visible at all times.

  • Layers — enable or disable different map layers.

  • Center Map — center the basemap around a selected feature.

  • Move to Current Location — see nearby network element with GPS coordinates at your current, physical location on the map.

  • Measure Tool — opens the measuring tools selector.

    • distance is the linear calculation between two points

    • area measures a created polygon on the map

    • coordinate conversion lets you select a point on the map and see matching data in another form, such as from X,Y to DMS.

  • Basemap — lets you to choose the basemap seen under your fiber feature classes.

  • Legend — open and close the left pane to see asset information for the selected feature service

At any time, click a fiber feature to view its attributes. The first click displays the fiber feature name and its high-level attributes. Click the name of the feature to open detailed connection information and graphical views. When you click point features such as splice points or patch locations, the Selection pane displays all fiber features that come together at that point.

Click the arrows to scroll through nearby or connected features. On the right side of the selection window, you can click List All to see an alphabetized list of all the selected features.

IMPORTANT: Some features may show the asset ID instead of the name of the feature. Make sure you have the most recent version of the Fiber Manager XI SOE file to work around this issue.
