Circuits

When you locate a circuit in Wavepoint XI, you see two tabs: Details and Path. The Details tab shows the circuit start and end points, as well as total distance, wavelength, and all circuit attributes.

The Path tab shows a one-line subway diagram of the circuit. The following symbols show you information along the path.

• — start of the circuit

• — origin of the trace

• — end of the circuit

• — patch location

• — splice

The diagram also shows ports through which the circuit passes, fibers and their glass lengths, as well as trays at splice cases.

The Circuit Path diagram contains additional information and navigation tools:

• Click the name of a fiber feature to jump to that feature’s detailed connection page in Wavepoint XI.

• Click Zoom to navigate to that feature in the map.

• Click Flip to reverse the start and end points of the one-line diagram.
