CIRCUITCHANNEL

Assign this model name to the field that stores an attribute that is used to group sets of Circuits together. This field resides in the Circuit table.

CONTAINERCLASSMODELNAME

Assign this model name to the field that contains the model name of the parent feature where connections are made (e.g., SplicePoint, PatchLocation, Splitter, DeviceLocation). Fiber Manager uses this information to identify connections (using a model name) at a specific feature.

CONTAINERGLOBALID

Assign this model name to the field that contains the GlobalID of the parent feature in the F_FiberConnectionObject table. This field is used by the Connection Manager, tracing, Circuit Manager and reports to correctly navigate the Fiber Manager connectivity model.

ENDFOOTSTAMP

Assign this model name to the field that contains the complementary length value to the StartFootstamp. In the sample data, this field (EndCableIncrementMarking) resides on the FiberOpticCable feature class.

This model name also works in conjunction with MARKINGUNITSOFMEASURE.

FIBERCHILDCLASSMODELNAME

Assign this model name to a field that indicates the model name of a child object. For example, this field on the FiberOpticCable feature class may have a value of BUFFERTUBE. This indicates that a BufferTube is a child of a FiberOpticCable.

The field of all fiber objects in the hierarchy that holds the ModelName of its child.

FIBERCIRCUITNAME

Assign this model name to the field that contains the name of the fiber circuit.

FIBERCOLOREDFIELD

Assign this model name to the field that uses color codes (e.g., BL, OR, etc.). Fiber tools use this field to draw colors.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Assign this to any field which uses the "Fiber Colors" domain.

FIBERCOLORNAMEFIELD

This is the English (or equivalent language) representation of a color (e.g., Blue, Orange, etc.).

FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD

Any field with this model name assigned will appear as a column in the Connection Manager. Do not assign FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD and FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYSORTFIELD to the same field.

Any field on a fiber object that you want to show up in Connection Manager.

FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYSORTFIELD

Any field with this model name assigned will appear as a column in the Connection Manager and will be used to sort the data. Do not assign FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYFIELD and FIBERCONNECTIONDISPLAYSORTFIELD to the same field.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

The field on a fiber object that you want to use to sort the rows in Connection Manager. Limited to one field per object.

FIBERFACETSCONTAINED

The field of any object in the hierarchy that has more than one side when shown in the Patch Panel report. For example, rack sides. Must be a text field, with each character representing a side(ie, FB for front and back).

FIBERFACETSCONTAINEDBY

The field of any object in the hierarchy that is a sub-object (ie, a child of grandchild) of an object with a side when shown in the Patch Panel report.  For example, rack sides. Must be a text field, with each character representing a side(ie, FB for front and back).

FIBERGRIDDEFAULTHEIGHT

Object must have "FiberGridableContainer." Goes on an integer field which indicates the number of rows of space characters to fill in empty spaces in the grid.

FIBERGRIDEDEFAULTWIDTH

Object must have "FiberGridableContainer." Goes on an integer field which indicates the number of  columns of space characters to fill in empty spaces in the grid.

FIBERGRIDPOSITION

Object must have "FiberGridableObject" and some ancestor must have "FiberGridableContainer." This goes in an integer field that indicates which position in the ancestor object it resides in (ordered from left to right, top to bottom).

FIBERIMPLIEDALIGNMENT

The ArcFM Update Fiber Parent relationship autoupdater uses this model name to match ports with implied connections. For example, a SplitterInputPort has a value of 1 in this field (with the model name assigned). I till look for the SplitterOutputPort with the same value in the same field in order to identify a match and an implied connection.

FIBERIMPLIEDCONNECTIONSOURCEGUID

Assign this model name to the field that contains the GlobalID of the source object to which the destination object has an implied connection. An implied connection is when two objects are joined by a piece of equipment, but are modeled as separate object classes in the geodatabase (e.g., front and back ports on a card).

FIBERNUMBERGRIDCOLUMNS

Object must have "FiberGridableContainer." It goes in an integer field which indicates how many columns of objects it can obtain.

FIBERNUMBERGRIDROWS

Object must have "FiberGridableContainer." It goes in an integer field which indicates how many rows of objects it can obtain.

FIBERPARENT

Assign this model name to the field that contains the GlobalID of the parent object to the current object.

FIBERPARENTCLASSMODELNAME

This model name is used to identify the field that contains the model name of the parent object class to the current object. In the case of the standard data model, the BufferTube object class would store the value "Sheath", since this is the model name used by its parent object, fiber optic cable.

FIBERSTRANDCOLOR

Assign this model name to the field that contains the color of the fiber strand on the Fiber feature class.

FIBERSTRANDCOLORNAME

Assign this model name to the field that contains the name of the color of the fiber strand on the Fiber feature class.

FIBERSTRANDNAME

Assign this model name to the field that contains the name of the fiber strand.

FIBERSTRANDNUMBER

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of strands on the Fiber feature.

FIBERTWOPOINTTRACEFIELD

Assign this model name to include the field on the Trace Parameter form.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. This goes on any field you want to use in the two point trace parameters. However, it cannot be used with date fields.

FIELDNOTESLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field on the FiberOpticCable that stores any other length value from external documents or sources (e.g., CAD drawings or OTDR shots).

The value in the field that has this model name assigned is used to calculate the fiber optic cable length. The calculation that takes place depends on what you have selected as the source of the cable length (the field to which the SHEATHLENGTHSOURCE field model name is assigned):

  • If the length source is set to "Documents/Field Notes," then the field notes value is multiplied by the twist factor to populate the cable length field. 

  • If the length source is set to "OTDR Length," then the field notes value is not multiplied by the twist factor to populate the cable length field. For this option to operate properly, you must add "OTDR Length" as both the code and description in the coded values table belonging to the domain that represents the fiber optic cable length source.

    Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

  • Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. This goes on the field which has the length value taken from field measurements. 

GLASSLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field that contains the length of glass in the fiber optic cable.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. This goes on the field which shows the glass length (autocalculated).

GLOBALID

Assign this model name to the field that contains a unique number (GUID) that is generated and maintained by ArcGIS. This value is used for all relationships in the ArcFM data model and is required for Fiber Manager to function properly.

MARKINGUNITSOFMEASURE

Assign this model name to the field that holds the length measurement value. If you have cable markings that are in different units than the map units, this model name should be assigned in order to use a different unit of measure.

This model name is used in conjunction with STARTFOOTSTAMP and ENDFOOTSTAMP.

MODETYPE

Assign this model name to the field that designates whether the particular object or feature, such as a fiber strand, is a singlemode or multimode strand.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Required for objects or features using the ArcFM Fiber Availability autoupdater.

MULTIMODEAVAILABILITYINDICATOR

Assign this model name to the field that is used to sum the number of available multimode strands (or other type of objects) with a feature, such as a fiber optic cable.

NUMBEROFCOLUMNS

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of columns in the patch panel.

NUMBEROFPORTCOLUMNS

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of columns on the patch panel card.

NUMBEROFPORTROWS

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of rows on the patch panel card.

NUMBEROFSTRANDS

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of strands in the fiber optic cable.

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. This goes in an integer field indicating the total number strands (for glass report).

OVERHEADUNDERGROUND

Assign this model name to the field that indicates whether the fiber optic cable has been installed in an overhead or underground environment.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. It is assigned to a field with the fiber domain for "Overhead Underground."  

POINTLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field that stores the length of the cable that travels vertically along the pole as it changes from an overhead cable to an underground cable. In the sample data, this field appears on the TransitionPoint feature class.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. It is assigned to an integer field which indicates the length taken up in this point (risers, slackloops, etc.

PORTNAME

Assign this model name to the fields that contain the names of ports (e.g., PortName). While Fiber Manager does not utilize this field model name, Wavepoint depends on it for reports and information displayed in the panes.

PORTNUMBER

Assign this model name to the field that contains the number of a port (e.g., DevicePort, FrontsidePort, SplitterInputPort).

PORTPOSITIONONCARD

Assign this model name to the field that is used to hydrate ports in the proper position on a patch panel card in Fiber Manager and on reports.

PORTTYPE

Assign this model name to the field that contains the type of port (e.g., DevicePort, SplitterInputPort).

SCHEMATICEXPORTATTRIBUTE

This is an optional model name used to configure Fiber Manager data to use schematics.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Assigned to any field on a fiber object which should be exported into the schematics report. 

SEGMENTGLASSLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field that contains the segment length of a piece of glass within the fiber optic cable.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network assigned to the field which shows the segment glass length. Segments correspond to the linear features. Total length ignores features with the model name TransitionPoint.

SEGMENTLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field that contains the segment length of the fiber optic cable.

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network assigned to the field which shows the segment length. Segments correspond to the linear features. Total length ignores features with the model name TransitionPoint.

SHEATHID

Assign this model name to the field used as a unique identifier for the sheath. In the sample data this model name is assigned to the CableName field on the FiberOpticCable layer.

SHEATHLENGTH

Assign this model name to the field that contains the length of the fiber optic cable.

Assign this model name to the field on the FiberOpticCable that denotes the method for determining how the length was collected.

SHEATHTYPE

Assign this model name to the field that contains the type of fiber optic cable.

SINGLEMODEAVAILABILITYINDICATOR

Assign this model name to the field on the feature that is used to sum the number of available singlemode strands (or other objects) within the feature.

SLOTPOSITION

Assign this model name to the field that designates the slot position on the patch panel card.

SPLICETYPE

Assign this model name to the field that contains the splice type on the Fiber Connection Object.

STARTFOOTSTAMP

Assign this model name to the field that holds the length measurement value that is stamped on one end of a fiber optic cable. The absolute value between the value in this field and the value on the ENDFOOTSTAMP field equals the actual length of the fiber optic cable.

This model name also works in conjunction with MARKINGUNITSOFMEASURE.

THISFIBERCLASSMODELNAME

This model name identifies the field that stores the model name of the current object. This is essential to the flexible data model and allows Fiber Manager to traverse an unknown object hierarchy. This field will also need to have an Esri Default value set for this field. For instance, the BufferTube object class will have a value of "BUFFERTUBE" set to this field.

TRAYNUMBER

Assign this model name to the field that stores the value for the tray in which a particular splice occurs. In the sample data this field is found on the FiberConnectionObject.

TWISTFACTOR

Assign this model name to the field that contains the manufacturer’s published twist factor for the glass strands within a fiber optic cable.

Additional Information for Flexible Data Models:

Object must be a linear feature in the fiber network. Assign this to the field which holds the twist factor.
