Install the Bottom Entry Cabinet on the Right Side of the UPS

  1. Remove the right side panel from the UPS. Save for installation on the bottom entry cabinet.
  2. Push the UPS and the bottom entry cabinet into final position next to each other.
  3. Lower the front and rear leveling feet on the UPS with a wrench until they connect with the floor. The casters must not have contact with the floor. Use a bubble-leveler to check that the UPS is level.
    NOTICE
    Risk of equipment damage
    Do not move the cabinet after the leveling feet have been lowered.
    Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
  4. Remove the top interconnection bracket from the top of the bottom entry cabinet.
  5. Install the top interconnection bracket between the UPS and the bottom entry cabinet.
  6. Interconnect the UPS and the bottom entry cabinet with the provided front interconnection brackets.
  7. Interconnect the UPS and the bottom entry cabinet with the provided rear interconnection brackets.

  8. Remove the front plate from the bottom entry cabinet.
  9. Remove the plates for the signal cables.
  10. Mount the provided cable brush plugs.
  11. Remove the bottom gland plate.
  12. Remove the supporting plates with casters. Discard the supporting plates with casters.
  13. Drill/punch holes for cables or conduits/grommets in the gland plate. Install conduits/grommets (not provided), if applicable.

    hazard of electric shock, explosion, or arc flash
    Do not drill or punch holes with the gland plates installed and do not drill or punch holes in close proximity to the cabinet.
    Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
  14. Reinstall the bottom gland plate.

  15. Remove the inner front plates and the rear panel from the UPS.
  16. Route the power cables up through the bottom entry cabinet and into the UPS as shown. Fasten the power cables to the middle and top cable reliefs.
  17. Route the signal cables up through the bottom entry cabinet and into the UPS. Route as shown to separate the Class 2/SELV cables from the non-Class 2/non-SELV cables.
  18. Reinstall the front and rear transportation brackets on the bottom entry cabinet.
  19. Mount the front and rear transportation brackets to the floor. Use appropriate hardware for the floor type - the hole diameter in the bracket is ø12 mm. The requirement is M10 strength grade 8.8 hardware.
  20. Reinstall the front plate on the bottom entry cabinet.
  21. Install the right side panel on the bottom entry cabinet. The right side panel was removed from the UPS earlier.
  22. Follow the UPS installation manual to connect the signal cables and the power cables.
