Connecting the Power Supply
The Powerlink G3 power supply provides voltage for operating the Remote Mount Controller. Primary power is supplied by connecting the power supply to a remote AC source. Two LEDs on the power supply are labeled CL1 and CL2. The CL1 LED represents Class 1 power supplied to the control busses. CL2 LED indicates Class 2 power supplied to the controller and any devices connected to it. For more information follow Power Supply for use with Powerlink Systems (document number 63249-402-200).
The power supply of the Remote Mount Controller is mounted below the Powerlink controller in the enclosure. To make the connections:
-
Use a properly rated voltage sensing device to ensure that power is turned OFF to the panelboard to which the Remote Mount Controller is being connected.
-
Per NEC* or CEC* standards, connect the red primary power wire to an appropriate voltage supply.
-
Per NEC or CEC standards, connect the white neutral wire of the power supply to the neutral of the voltage supply.
-
Per NEC or CEC standards, connect the service ground, equipment grounding wire, or both as required by the local electrical code. Torque each connection to the value specified on the Ground torque label attached to the enclosure. A ground bar for this purpose is provided.
