Assign Model Names and Autoupdaters

Assign the following model names and autoupdaters using the ArcFM Properties Manager.

Conduit feature class

Field Model Name: CABLECOUNT

TIP: The CABLECOUNT field model name is optional and used to support the Cable Count field. This model name runs a validation that ensures the Cable Count set at the feature class level matches the Cable Count chosen in the ArcFM Conduit Association Editor. See the Using Guide topic Number of Cables for more information.

With the field model name assigned, the application ensure the counts match.
Without the field model name assigned, no validation is performed. This means the Cable Count fields might differ. If your company does not leverage the concept of Cable Count, you could remove this attribute field entirely, if desired.

Cross Section Annotation feature class

Model Name: CROSSSECTION

IMPORTANT: This model name can only be assigned to one annotation feature class.

IMPORTANT: If you plan to also implement Underground Facility Manager, assign the ArcFM Conduit to Conductor Composite autoupdater. This AU calls both the ArcFM Manage Conduit Manager Relationship Changes AU and the ArcFM UFM Conduit to Conductor Relationship AU.
