Configure Unique Duct Name per Wall

As described in the Using Guide topic Create Duct Banks and Ducts > Configure and Create (Step 6), you can configure each wall in a diagram to have unique Duct Names (also known as Duct IDs).

  1. In ArcCatalog > Catalog Tree, right-click your geodatabase and choose ArcFM Properties Manager.

  2. On the Underground Facilities tab, check the box by Unique Duct Name per Wall, then click OK.

  3. Further, you can add a QA/QC rule to find existing walls where the Duct Names (Duct IDs) are not unique. To do so, follow these substeps:

    1. In ArcCatalog > Catalog Tree, locate the UFMWall feature class.

    2. Right-click the UFMWall feature class, then click ArcFM Properties Manager.

    3. On the Object Info tab > Rules, check the box next to Unique Duct Name per Wall, then click OK.

Now, if you ran QA/QC, walls with duplicate Duct Names (Duct IDs) are flagged.
