Symptom

Possible cause

Solution

displayed in the Wiser Home app Device Error Try reinstalling the device. If the error persists, replace the device.

Individual SmartTag data is not available in home screen.

  • Device is offline.

  • System/Hub is unable to receive data from the SmartTag.

  • Ethernet connection is incorrect for Hub.

Restart the device. Also, ensure to correct the Ethernet connection.

The hourly data is incorrect against real local time.

Incorrect time configuration as per the user’s country.

Set correct time zone as per your country.

The LED of SmartTag is blinking amber.

SmartTag not yet commissioned to the hub for the first time.

Commission the SmartTag to the hub. Refer to Pairing the device.

SmartTag is out of range from Hub.

Perform any of the methods:

  • Reduce the distance between the hub and the device.

  • Power OFF any other Hub in the area which have wireless devices.

    • Remove the device from the hub via the app.

    • Do a power cycle by switching OFF and ON the Hub and the circuit breaker on which the SmartTag is installed.
    • Ensure theSmartTag is blinking amber and then pair the device to Hub via app.

The LED of SmartTag blinks red rapidly.

SmartTag is out of range from Hub.

Perform any of the methods:

  • Reduce the distance between the hub and the device.

  • Power OFF any other Hub in the area which have wireless devices.

    • Remove the device from the hub via the app.

    • Do a power cycle by switching OFF and ON the Hub and the circuit breaker on which the SmartTag is installed.
    • Ensure the SmartTag is blinking amber and then pair the device to Hub via app.

NOTE: If the LED still blinks red, replace with a new device and try adding again.

Hub is powered down

Power ON the Hub.

The LED of SmartTag is glowing red permanently.

The device is not working permanently.

Replace with a new device and try adding again.

The LED of SmartTag is OFF

SmartTag is probably not powered ON.

Recheck the wiring and power connection of the SmartTag and see if gets powered ON. Try adding the device after it is powered ON.

If the above mentioned method do not work, replace the SmartTag and retry.
