Plot Single Map Grid

Map Production also provides the ability to plot a single map grid within a map set. Simply right-click a map set in the Map Book Explorer and select Plot. You may not close ArcMap while plotting. You must save edits before previewing or plotting a map. Only saved edits will be shown. The following image shows plotting a single map grid?

The Plot window allows the user to select the specific map grid(s) and click a button below to plot, export, print to file or schedule a plot. The following image shows plotting a dialog that allows users to select grid(s):

Plot

Immediately plots the selected map grid(s).

Export

Exports the selected map grid(s) to an image file (e.g., .emf, .cgm, .eps, .ai, .pdf, .bmp, .tif, .jpg, .pcx, .png).

Print to File

Exports the selected map grid(s) to a .prn file.

 Schedule Plot

Allows the user to determine when the selected map grid(s) should be plotted. See Schedule Plot.

IMPORTANT: Designer users: You must save edits before previewing or plotting a map. Only saved edits will be shown. If you create a map book from a newly-created design, no features will appear in a plot or preview until the design has been saved. A Design Stored Display is created only when the design is saved.
