Mapping

The Mapping tab facilities the underlying basemap capabilities of the DHFC application.

IMPORTANT: The username you employ to login to Solution Center must also have permissions to access the mapping services. Otherwise, you receive notifications that the mapping services are unavailable. While it is understandable to assume this means the services are temporarily down, more likely, the username you logged in with does not have permissions to access those services.

There are four subtabs:

Feature Service: This is the URL for your published map service. This URL points to the feature service that has editing capabilities enabled for the DHFC layers.
Reference Maps: These map services provide reference data to the DHFC application in the form of non-editable graphical information such as stranding, boundaries, or other helpful GIS information that can aid the designers. After adding a Reference Map URL, use the Reference Views tabs to fine tune which layers from that map are visible and in what order.
Reference Views: These allow you to take a Reference Map service and then pick and choose which layers are visible and in what order. Views can comprise layers from multiple Reference Maps.
Basemaps: These are additional basemaps available to the DHFC application.
