Portal Login Configuration
The Portal Login Configuration tab has two subtabs: ArcGIS Login Providers and Mapping.
ArcGIS Login Providers
The ArcGIS Login Providers subtab deals with the configuration of your portal. This is an extremely technical view of your Auth Model. After the initial setup, it’s likely you would only change a few items, such as Client Secret and URL.
The new Auth Model displays in the list on the left of the Solution Center window.
You can make changes to an existing Auth Model as needed. Select the Auth Model you want to change from the list on the left, and update the fields on the right (for example, the Client Secret and URL fields).
The User Profile Script uses .json validates as you type. Before making changes, copy and paste the existing script in another application as a backup.
If you save incorrect edits, then you won’t be able to log in to your tenant any more. If this happens to you, reach out to ArcFMReadiness@se.com for assistance. Schneider Electric backs up this information nightly and can likely retrieve your configuration prior to any recent changes you made.
Mapping
The Mapping subtab allows you to map Esri groups to Schneider Electric roles. When you login to Solution Center and access the Client Configuration plugin, the Esri groups are brought into the interface. At that point, you can perform various mappings. The Mapping subtab has three mapping choices: Role, Tenant Role, and Tenant.
Role
For example, this company wants to map the Esri group “Electric Designers” (listed under Client Role) to its Designer XI end users, so it has mapped that name to the SE Role “Designer.ElectricDesigner.”
To map an Esri group to an SE role, follow these steps:
-
Click Role.
-
Type the Esri group name in the Client Role field.
-
Use the drop-down to map the Client Role to the SE Role.
-
If you need to map multiple SE roles, click the Add
button and use the drop-down again.
-
Click Save.
Tenant Role
The Tenant Role mapping accomplishes two main things:
-
It populates the Multiple Tenant Drop-Down list.
-
It allows for tenants to receive a tenant migration snapshot (if the XI Series application, such as Designer XI, supports tenant migration). In other words, when you Import Assets from a Snapshot into a Tenant, it populates the Tenant ID drop-down.
To perform the Tenant Role mapping, follow these steps:
-
Click Tenant Role. Notice you already have at least one mapping, and you can use it as a guide for additional mappings.
-
Type the Portal Group Name in the Client Role field.
IMPORTANT:-
The Portal Group Name was established when you provisioned your tenant. As an example, see the Designer XI Configuration Guide topic Tenant Provisioning > Group Membership > Step 2 (this is the same content for all XI Series applications).
-
The name you type in the Client Role field must exactly match the Portal Group Name, including spaces and capitalization.
-
-
Use the drop-down to map the Portal Group Name (Client Role) to the Tenant ID.
-
Repeat, if necessary, to map additional Portal Group Names to Tenant IDs.
-
Click Save.
Tenant
The Tenant mapping allows a user to login to a tenant no matter what group memberships they have. This is helpful if a tenant has a separate Portal for ArcGIS set up per tenant type (Dev, Prod, Test, ect.)
To map the tenant for all roles, follow these steps:
-
Click Tenant.
-
Notice the other tenants at your company are listed.
-
Toggle on the tenants that you want to be able to access regardless of your group membership.
-
Click Save.
