ArcFM Database Version

You can find your ArcFM database version by clicking on the ArcFM Database Version tool on the ArcFM Solution toolbar. You can also access this tool using the right-click context menu for your ArcFM geodatabase. Both methods display the same information:

Database Mismatch

When upgrading to a new version of ArcFM, it is required to also upgrade the version of the geodatabase using the Upgrade ArcFM Solution Database tool. If you attempt to open ArcMap and log into ArcFM with mismatched versions, you receive this message:

If you click OK, ArcMap still opens as usual, but ArcFM functionality is not supported with mismatched versions.

During an upgrade process, there is often an expected timeframe where the database version does not match the application version. Thus, you can suppress the version mismatch message by checking Don’t show this again.

If you check that box, a registry key called Internal and a value-key pair called DisableDatabaseVersionCheck are created under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Miner and Miner\ArcFM8 (thus, the full path after its creation is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Miner and Miner\ArcFM8\Internal). By default, the DisableDatabaseVersionCheck value is set to 1, indicating you no longer wish to receive the warning when starting ArcMap. You can edit this value to 0 if you want to see the warning dialog again.
