Standalone Trace All Feeders Executable

This tool traces all feeders in the geometric network. It does not stop at de-energized features. Instead, it continues to trace downstream of any de-energized features. In short, it locates all energized features, de-energized features, and any islands that might exist in the network.

If Trace All Feeders encounters a de-energized feature, it assigns the FeederID field a value of Null.

The standalone executable has a few benefits beyond the capabilities of running Trace All Feeders in ArcCatalog:

The executable performs a compress after each feeder, making it faster.
When run via a command line, it can trace batches of feeders instead of tracing the entire network.

By default, the standalone executable is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner and Miner\ArcFM Solution\Bin.

IMPORTANT: You must create an exclusive SDE database connection to be used only by the stand alone Trace All Feeders executable. The SDE user name and password must be saved as a part of the connection, and this connection should not be used for any other administrative purposes. The upcoming topics start with creating this connection. On subsequent runs of the tool, the same connection can be used over and over again. In other words, on subsequent runs of the tool, you may skip the steps that discuss creating the connection.
