Behaviors
Behavior Options provide further refinements that affect the end user experience in the application.
Loss A and Loss B
In Fiber Manager XI, you can track the attenuation (loss over distance) of fibers at given wavelengths. Wavepoint XI does not perform any of the calculations. Those losses are calculated and managed in Fiber Manager XI, and then they are provided to Wavepoint XI.
Here in the Wavepoint XI configuration, you are providing the wavelengths merely for labeling purposes within the user interface.
Disable Query Pagination
To avoid issues encountered with SQL Server and its lack of support for pagination, you can toggle this option on. If you do not encounter issues, this can be toggled off.
Distance UOM Abbrev
Type “ft” or “m” for your distance units of measure (UOM). This must match the distance units of measure used in Fiber Manager XI for the lengths to be presented accurately.
This is merely a label for the user interface. Wavepoint XI does not perform any distance conversions.
Identify Buffer Size
The Identify Buffer size is used solely by the application in its geometric calculations. Do not change the value unless instructed to do so by your implementation team or Schneider Electric Support.
This is not to be confused with the Identify Tolerance.
Identify Tolerance
In Wavepoint XI, end users click on fiber assets to identify them and learn more about them. For usability purposes, the Identify Tolerance adds an extra cushion (or buffer) around their click point. In this manner, the end user does not have to be exactly on the feature to identify it. If more than one feature is within the tolerance, they are all presented to the end user, who can then “drill down” to the desired feature.
The tolerance is measured in pixels.
The higher the number, the larger the cushion (or buffer). We recommend starting with a tolerance of 10, then ask for feedback from your end users.
