Install the Backfeed Kit in the UPS with One Internal Switch

Perform a total power off of the UPS before installing
the backfeed kit. The UPS must be completely isolated and no power
sources must be connected to the UPS.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

- Open the front door.
- Remove the front cover from the UPS. Discard the front cover.
- If possible, remove the side panels for better access.
- Remove the rear panel from the UPS.
- Remove the three input busbars (880-74011). Discard the input busbars. Save the six removed M8 nuts (803-8007).

Install the backfeed breaker assembly
in the UPS.
- Align the three backfeed busbars (TME11270, TME11272, TME11273) on the backfeed breaker assembly with the six riveted studs.
- Align the side plate of the backfeed breaker assembly on the post and fasten with the three provided M6 screws (803-0686).
- Fasten the three backfeed busbars with the six M8 nuts (803-8007) removed in step 5.

Connect the signal cables (TME11681).
- Remove the indicated screws and remove the plastic cover from the backfeed breaker.
- Remove the cover from the signal connection terminals.
- Connect the signal cables from the trip coil inside the backfeed breaker to the signal connection terminals on 0P02386 as shown in the illustration. Connect J8301-10 to J8310-1. Connect the backfeed breaker trip coil cables to J8310-3 and J8301-1.
- Note the terminal locations for the input power cables (single mains configuration) or bypass power cables (dual mains configuration).
- Reinstall the plastic cover on the backfeed breaker.
- Install the new front plate (TME11303) from the backfeed kit on the UPS with the eight M6 screws (803-8170) removed in step 2. Reinstall the cover over the signal connection terminals.
- If removed previously, reinstall the side panels on the UPS.
- Reinstall the rear panel on the UPS.
