Upstream and Downstream Protection
The bypass/output disconnect devices are sized based on the nominal current +10%. This is to accommodate either low grid voltage or deviation in length between parallel UPSs.

The upstream overcurrent protective device (and its settings)
must be sized to ensure a disconnecting time within 0.07 seconds in
case of a short circuit between the input/bypass phase and the UPS.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
