Installation Procedure for UPS with Maintenance Bypass Cabinet and Lithium-ion Battery Cabinets

The UPS must be secured against movement. Perform one of the following once the UPS is in its final position:
  • Lower the leveling feet until the casters no longer have contact with the floor, OR
  • Reinstall the front transportation bracket (870-32577) on the UPS and mount it to the floor, OR
  • Install the seismic anchoring kit.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
  1. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Prepare for Installation.
  2. UPS: Follow the maintenance bypass cabinet installation manual for seismic anchoring, mechanical installation, interconnection, power cabling, and signal cable routing for the UPS and the maintenance bypass cabinet. Specifications for the UPS system are listed in the UPS installation manual.
  3. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Install the Rear Seismic Anchoring.
  4. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Position and Interconnect the Battery Cabinets.
  5. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Install the Front Seismic Anchoring.
  6. UPS: Connect the Signal Cables.
  7. UPS: Connect the Signal Cables from Switchgear and Third-Party Auxiliary Products.
  8. UPS: Connect the Modbus Cables.
  9. UPS: Only for external synchronization: Connect the Signal Cables for External Synchronization.
  10. UPS: Install the Power Module(s).
  11. UPS: Add Translated Safety Labels to Your Product.
  12. UPS: Final installation.
  13. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Install the Battery Modules in the Battery Cabinet.
  14. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Connect the Power Cables.
  15. Lithium-ion battery cabinet(s): Route the Signal Cables to the Switchgear, Rack BMS, and System BMS Ports.
