Register Data in ArcGIS Server Data Store

Data registration informs ArcGIS Server how to locate the source data, which in this case, is the .sde database connection to your Fiber feature classes and tables.
IMPORTANT: Registering data as described below is a supported method during a Wavepoint implementation. The alternative method of automatically copying data to the server is not supported and should not be used.
  1. Log in to ArcGIS Server Manager.
  2. Click Site > Data Stores > Register Database.

  3. Type a Name. The name is up to you, but it is recommended to use the same name as the .sde connection you created in the previous help topic, just to keep things in sync.
  4. Click Import.

  5. Click Choose File.

  6. Browse to the folder that contains your .sde connections. By default, this is located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Desktop10.6\ArcCatalog
  7. Select the .sde connection file created in the previous help topic, then click Open.
  8. Click Import.
  9. Accept the default for the Server database connection to use the same connection as the publisher database.
  10. Click Create.
  11. Once complete, under the Status column, ensure you see a green checkmark. If you do not, click Validate All. A green checkmark indicates a successful registration.
