Asset Data Model
After logging in, you can see how your data is represented in each configured widget. This is because the EcoStruxure™ Grid Asset Performance data model is based on CIM (IEC61970) guidelines. This unlocks interoperability with third-party applications according to modern standards and best practices. The next sections describe the key concepts to understand the asset data model impact and implementation within the solution.
Grid Asset Performance implements its own asset registry, including locations details, categories per asset type, and assets details. The asset registry can be populated through the available Rest API.
Asset Object Details
The Asset Object instance represents a physical entity, such as primary substation equipment, secondary substation equipment, stationary buildings, overhead lines, cables and mobile equipment, and is defined by its main properties and asset type.
Specific Asset object properties (attributes) are created according to IEC 61970, a CIM based standard requirement for static (offline) data and includes required fields for different analysis and risk assessment methodology.
