Optimized Program
When a user creates a scenario, a program is created to show batches of asset categories using different intervention types. The optimized program solves the complex problem of balancing between the cost, budget, and performance by leveraging powerful algorithms. The optimizer works to maximize the total value of the assets without exceeding any of the resource constraints placed in the program.
To create the program:
-
From the scenario window, click New Program > Optimized Program.
-
Under Configuration, make sure Draft is selected.
-
Enter the maximum maintenance budget in local currency.
-
Enter the maximum processing duration in hours and minutes.
-
Select the configured resources constraints from the list and add the maximum units in local currency. These are some examples:
-
OPEX
-
CAPEX
-
Sustainability
-
Inventory
-
Contractors
-
-
Create as many resource constraints as required to fulfill the program parameters and click Start processing.
The tool will identify the list of interventions allowing the highest risk reduction using the maximum of the resources. The optimizer provides the best list of interventions from various possibilities and eliminates the ones which do not respect the constraints.
Once the optimizer reaches a result, the program summary shows this information in local currency:
-
Number of maintained assets.
-
Total preventive maintenance cost. Listing the different maintenance expenditures based on the scenario constraints.
-
Percent Budget utilization.
-
Total reduced monetized risk the first year.
-
Risk reduced per local currency, the first year.
-
Financial cost reduction.
-
Safety cost reduction.
-
Environmental cost reduction.
-
Network performance cost reduction.
-
The total annual monetized risk.
-
Current statement: this risk matrix describes the current risk for the assets included in the program.
-
Projected statement for the scenario: this risk matrix describes the projected risk for the assets included in the program at the end of the scenario.
-
Projected statement run to failure: this risk matrix describes the projected risk for the assets included in the program if no action is taken.
-
-
Interventions summary (including the list of asset categories and the intervention name, asset counts, total risk reduced, total maintenance cost, risk reduced per local currency spent per category).
The list of assets for further analysis can be downloaded from the Export menu.
