Create and Configure Feature Classes

This topic outlines the feature classes that are used by the classic fiber data model. These are the same feature classes as those in the Minerville.mdb sample geodatabase. You can create each of these feature classes manually in ArcCatalog, or import the sample and properties from Minerville.

IMPORTANT:

ObjectID fields are automatically created (by Esri) when you create the schema.
GlobalID fields are required by Fiber Manager and are created with Esri's Add Global ID tool (Manage > Add Global IDs).
Enabled fields are automatically added/configured by the geometric network.
Unless specified otherwise, you can name the listed fields anything that is appropriate for your organization.
