Markup

Markups allow users to place graphics on the map in the mobile app and send them off to a GIS analyst who can then make permanent changes in the database.

The Markup tab provides a list of markup types (defined on the Markup Types tab) that are available for the selected operational map. You can configure each markup type to use the default markup palette, or you can override those settings.

Take it for a drive! (The link opens/switches to the Solution Center app and accesses the Operational Maps tab.)
  • For each markup type in the list, leave the Use Default Palette toggle enabled if you want to use the default markup palette.

  • To completely disable the associated markup type on the selected map, toggle Use Default Palette off, then toggle Disable on.

  • To override the setting on the Markup Types tab for the selected markup type, toggle Use Default Palette off then provide a URL to the feature service that defines the markup palette for this type.

After migrating markup types to dynamic workflows, when you want to add a new Markup Type or palette, you must create a corresponding assignment type for that palette to be available in the app.
