Markups

When a user taps Submit in the ArcFM Mobile app and receives a message indicating markup sketches have been sent, after a refresh you can see the markup listed in the left pane. In the middle pane, you can view the history of the markup sketch, from the ArcFM Mobile app to the geodatabase, including any potential workflow errors. In the right pane, if you are logged into Portal for ArcGIS, you can view the markup sketch in the map.

In the left pane, this tab shows a list of all the markup sketches that have been sent by users in the ArcFM Mobile app. A red exclamation point next to a markup sketch indicates that it has an associated workflow error. To view only markup sketches with workflow errors, click the filter with the red exclamation point on it.

You can also sort on markup types by clicking the drop-down icon next to the regular filter and selecting/deselecting types in the list.

After you’ve selected a markup sketch in the left pane, the middle pane shows the markup sketch’s path through assignments. In the case of adhoc markup sketches in ArcFM Mobile, the path is from field assignment (sketching in the field) to enterprise assignment (viewing the sketch on the desktop).

If the markup sketch is active and hasn’t made it to enterprise assignment and closed, then in the right pane you see a preview in ArcGIS of the markup sketch that can, e.g., be verified with users.

If the expected markups do not reside in the map, we recommend that you click the Refresh button at the top of the middle Markups pane.

Workflow Errors

After you have migrated your markup types to dynamic workflows, you can refer to this section when workflow errors occur, which are typically isolated to ArcGIS Server (i.e., the server is down, there was a temporary glitch, etc.). You are provided with the part of the workflow that failed (seen at the bottom of the third image above), and the exception details are included.

You can view any relevant ArcGIS errors by clicking the ArcGIS Logs button. After you have resolved the issue, you can also click Retry to retry the workflow.
