Markup Types
By default, each tenant has a single type of markup called Markup. This ‘markup type' typically has a default palette that is displayed for all operational maps. You can configure each operational map to either show the default palette, override the default with a different palette, or show no palette for a given markup type.
You can also configure multiple markup types that designate different purposes for markups (e.g., map corrections or patrol observations). Each new markup type potentially results in an additional palette on each operational map. Thus, one operational map can have as many palettes as there are markup types.

Add a markup type:
-
Click the Add New
button. Type a descriptive Display Name (required).
-
If you want this markup type to include a default palette, toggle it on and provide a URL to a valid feature service.
When you define a new markup type, it is then added to all operational maps and configured to use the default palette.
You can edit a markup type by selecting it on the left, changing the values in the right pane, and clicking Save.
In ArcFM Mobile users see a Markups button
available in the upper right.
Markup Type ID
If your organization utilizes the ability of ArcFM Mobile to accept inbound messages from a workforce management app (refer to the ArcFM Mobile Developer Guide), you can also configure parameters that allow users to activate a job at a particular location in the map. You can additionally use markup type IDs in the inbound message to bind the activated job location to a limited number of markup types. This allows your users to more accurately and efficiently select a markup type for the particular markup activity they are performing.
If the inbound message contains only one markup type ID for a job location, ArcFM Mobile initiates markup automatically based on that markup type.
