Edit Markups
Modifying markup in ArcFM Mobile is simple and intuitive. To edit markup in the current session,
click the Edit tool and then adjust the desired
features as follows.
-
To edit a point symbol, click on the desired point symbol. If there are attributes associated with the markup, then the Edit Attributes panel opens—click the cross arrows
button that appears at the lower left-hand corner. If there are no attributes associated with the markup, the Edit Attributes panel does not appear and you can begin editing the point immediately.
The point symbol is shown with move and rotate helper handles.
Use the move helper handle to reposition the point symbol, and use the rotation helper handle to orient the symbol as desired. When you have finished editing the point symbol, click the check mark to commit your changes.
-
To edit a callout, hover the cursor over it, click to activate the text box, and edit the associated text. Or, if you want to move the callout, click the Move directional arrows and then click the new location in the map. Click OK
to confirm the move.
-
To edit a line or polygon, grey dots appear where you originally placed vertices, and you are provided with Move directional arrows. Click on a vertex to relocate it. Add to the line by clicking an end vertex and extending the line. Additionally, tap anywhere on the line to add new vertices.
-
To erase a markup, click the Remove
tool, click a placed markup, and it’s removed.
-
To remove markups that have not yet been sent, click Cancel
. You are prompted to confirm if you want to remove all markups.
-
If desired, change the name of the current markup session by clicking the Edit Name
button, typing your changes, then clicking the Save
button.
-
There is no confirmation dialog or undo option for removing a markup—once a markup has been deleted, it is gone forever.
-
If two or more markups overlap and you select a point where they intersect, the item that was placed most recently is selected for editing.
-
Only one markup can be edited at a time: you must finish the edit before editing a different markup.
-
If an object being edited allows attribute entry, the attribute pane opens to allow edits.
