Add Markups to a Map
- To draw freehand in the map, click the Freehand
tool and then draw on the map as desired. When you click the down arrow to the right of the tool, you can select from four different types of lines in three different colors.
- To place a callout in the map, click the Callout
tool. When you hover over a spot in the map, the cursor follows the tool. The cursor sits on the tool when you are ready to place the callout.
- To place a dimension line in the map, click the Dimension
Line
tool. Click once in the map and a grey dot is placed at the starting point. Move the cursor to extend the line where you want to place the end point.
- To highlight an area of the map, click the Highlight
tool. Click once to place the first vertex, and move the cursor to extend the line, then click to place more vertices.
- To place a point in the map, click the Point
tool, then click spots in the map where you want points placed. When you click the down arrow to the right of the tool, you can select from three different types of points.
- To place a line in the map, click the Line
tool (this one has a down arrow to the right, whereas the Dimension Line tool doesn’t). When you click the down arrow next to the tool, you can select from three different types of lines.
- To place a polygon in the map, click the Polygon
tool.
