Wiser Home AI

Wiser Home AI is a feature that allows users to save electricity costs by enrolling high energy devices like EV Charger (EVlink Home Smart, Schneider Charge) or resistive Water boilers (controlled with a micromodule).

Supported Tariffs:

  • Flat and Peak/Off-Peak tariffs : Available only if you have installed solar panels at your home.

  • Dynamic Tariff: Works with or without solar panels.

How it works:

  1. Answer a few quick questions to set up.

  2. Wiser Home AI creates smart schedules for your enrolled devices

  3. It limits usage when electricity prices are high, while respecting your habits.

  4. The system adapts based on your last 30 days of electricity usage.

Benefits:

  • By activating this feature, you can save up to 25% on your electricity bill.

  • Your savings will be monitored on a daily, monthly and yearly basis, ensuring you can monitor your progress effortlessly.

IMPORTANT:
  • The AI system learns from historical data on electricity consumption. It can perform some level of optimization even without pre-existing data, and its effectiveness will improve significantly over time.

  • While this feature is active, Wiser Home AI schedules replace any customized schedules.

  • You can enroll upto two different devices - 1 EV device and 1 Water Heater.

Key Features

AI-Based Real-Time Automations:

AI-based real-time automation prioritizes self-consumption first, followed by grid consumption during lower-cost hours. It adapts to your EV and hot water usage habits, maximizing the use of renewable energy and reducing electricity costs.

EV Dimming Ability:

The system can adjust the charging power of your EV based on excess solar energy production, thereby minimizing charging costs and maximizing the use of renewable energy.
The graph below compares system behavior with and without EV Dimming. It illustrates how EV Dimming optimizes performance by prioritizing the most cost-effective energy source.
Without Dimming:

  • The EV charger always operates at maximum power.

  • If solar production is less than required, the charger pulls the remaining energy from the grid.

Result: Mixed energy usage which is partly from solar and partly from the grid.

With Dimming:

  • The charger adjusts its power to match available solar energy.

  • It slows down charging to use only solar energy, avoiding grid usage and ensuring the EV reaches the required energy level before its next use.

Result: Charging takes longer, but it’s 100% powered by solar, reducing electricity costs and increasing sustainability.

Savings Calculation in the Energy Dashboard:

The Energy dashboard calculates your savings and tracks your Return on Investment (ROI).

Easy Load Activation/Deactivation:

Simple on/off button to activate or deactivate loads.

Temporary Override Function (Away Mode):

Overrides the Wiser Home AI function to adapt your home settings when you are away, ensuring energy efficiency even when you're not home.

Notifications for Feature Malfunction:

Notifies you in case of a feature malfunctions.

Supported devices:

  • Power Micromodule (Water Heater)

  • EVLink Home Smart

  • Schneider Charge
